The Commercial Hotel was one of Gladstone’s first public bars, opening for business in August 1856. The 1970’s ended The Commercial Hotel era when the hotel became The Telford Hotel with more renovations and changes. The 1990’s saw the hotel became The Gladstone Reef Hotel, boasting 49 hotel rooms and 2 bars and a rooftop pool.
